Specifically, you can see what I've done at http://chunky.dyndns.org/timing.tar.gz It's got two C files, neither of which does any sanity checking [much], but they _do_ work to demonstrate the point. Yes, I know I did loads of them really badly, but they were a quick hack to prove the point.
