We won't be producing a more recent kernel patch for a while. Testing the kernels does take some time and there may be some unaddressed instability issues with the 2.4 kernels still.
If anyone in the community wants to port the patch up to a more recent kernel version we're perfectly happy to host it on the web site and ftp site.
