Gang,
We recently acquired a pair of PC104 boards based on the National
Geode processor and are experiencing some odd behavior. If we boot these
cards with plain old Linux 2.2.something we get about 300 bogomips of
performance indicated by the kernel. When we boot them with RTLinux,
however, the bogomips value is down near 80.
Should we be concerned about the actual performance of these
processors in the RTLinux environment, or is this a display type side-effect
of the Geode chip or some such? We have never seen such a big difference
between the non-RTLinux and RTLinux bogomips values before. Have others
seen this sort of difference? What would cause this massive disparity?
Regards,
Steve
