We are experiencing exactly the same problem you described below.
Has anyone figured out what is causing it and, more importantly, how to make
it stop?
Note: The speed of the time gain appears to vary with the speed of
the loops in our various threads (though not necessarily linearly).
We have a need for reasonably precise time synchronization in our
system and want Linux to use NTP to keep things in synch with another system
to within a few milliseconds. Unfortunately, with this clock problem, NTP
is hopeless. Any help greatly appreciated.
