Sounds like another driver requested the ports, ...
Probably you have compiled support for serial lines into your kernel, so that
driver (serial.o) does request all serialports it can get.
You can either remove serial line support from your kernel by reconfiguring it,
or you adjust the com_table in serial.c to match your needs.
