I am trying to install rtlinux v6.0 for 2.0.33. I have done this before
but since trashed two hard drives commuting between 95, NT and Linux. I am
now trying to get back to a running RTlinux system. I down load the rtlinux
6.0 version on my NT box (which is the only one I am allowed to have
connected to the outside world). transfer it to my Linux box and tar -xzvf
it. tar reports
 making directory rtlinux-0.6-2.0.33
Skipping to next header
gzip reported invalid compressed data - format violated
then kicks out

I did use tar to install the 2.0.33 kernel source so I know that worked
(same down load and all). Has anyone else had this problem and what can I
do to fix it?

Thanks for your help,
John
