Hi all!
I am new to RTlinux and have some troubles with the included
examples. I installed release9H according to the instructions (at
least I think I did :). No problems with the patches and recompiling
the kernel. During booting the system _seemed_ to be slower than
usual, but this might be personal bias. Then I tried to run the
examples. The frank example gave me about one screen full of Franks and
Zappas as it was supposed. Then it stopped and the system was more or
less frozen. I was able to switch between virtual consoles, but could
not type in anything -> I had to reset the hardware.
The measurement example was not that bad, but I am not sure if it
behaved correctly. It started to give me lots of HELP!! NO LINUX EVER
messages and the system responded only with a lot of delay (several
tens of secands) to typing characters. I was able to press
Ctrl+alr+del and the system went down cleanly after several minutes.
Unfortunately the documentation for the examples is somehow outdated
and thus I don't know, if I did the right thing.
Any advice?
        Cheers,
        Gerhard

Ps.: Hardware: Pentium 200 MMX
