Hi folks.

I am trying to pull together a few people to participate in a proposed
session titled something like "Real-time computing in biomedical
engineering" at the 1999 joint meeting of the BMES (Biomedical Eng. Society)
and IEEE-EMBS, to be held in October 1999 in Atlanta, GA USA.

I'm hoping that the session would focus on methodologies. The
session proposal allows up to six speakers, and I _very_ tentatively have
3 people (including myself) interested. All three of us are biased
towards electrophysiology (cardiac and neural), but other biomedical
applications as well are interested. Two of us are actively using
RTLinux as part of our projects.

If you or any of your peers may be interested, please email me ASAP
and we'll talk more -- the deadline for the session proposal is
January 15 (an actual abstract of your talk is not necessary until
April 15). Please note that there is no chance of anyone paying
your travel expenses (although there may be travel awards that
students and postdocs can apply for -- see the conference call for
papers for more info).
Thanks!
