I hope that the friends at NMT will maintains RTL basic patches at the pace of
Linux development.

All the other things should come as API modules developed, and shared, by those
that want to.
The move of taking rtl_fifo and rtl_sched out of the patch in RTL 0.9 is the
right one.
Clearly this does not forbid people at NMT to distribute basic APIs if they
want.
Again they have already made a step in that direction by distributing semaphore
and queue services with 0-9.
The only thing that could be established is a common call structure for the
same services. In this view Posix can be the right way to proceed.
