An RTC (mc146818.h) related question: 1) Can it be used at 16kHz or 32kHz under RTL? The documentation in the Linux kernel for programming the RTC specifies bit parameters for rates as fast as 32kHz. However, any other online docs (which are not in an RTLinux context) I have read discussing the RTC mention a max rate of 8kHz. My "guess" is that it is "too fast" under normal Linux, but perfectly reasonable under RTL. I will experiment with it later this week, but was hoping someone might know the answer off the top of their head before then. Thanks in advance. 2) What is the status of APIC support, in terms of both motherboards and Linux kernels? 3) (not RTC related). FYI: The rtlinux list archive search engine doesn't seem to pull up anything in response to my search queries, even when I find a given topic/message by manually browsing the archives. -- Rob Butera, Postdoctoral Fellow http://mrb.niddk.nih.gov/butera/ Laboratory for Neural Control, NINDS National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD USA --- [rtl] --- To unsubscribe: echo "unsubscribe rtl" | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] OR echo "unsubscribe rtl <Your_email>" | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---- For more information on Real-Time Linux see: http://www.rtlinux.org/~rtlinux/
