Hello, I'm trying RT-Linux release D with Linux 2.2.1 on a single-CPU system, the kernel is compiled with SMP capabilities turned off, and so is RT-Linux. In short, the scheduler doesn't pre-empt a running RT-task when another, higher priority, RT-task wants the CPU. Because my knowledge fails me in order to fix it myself (I'm not at home with the low-level RT-Linux stuff yet), I wrote a more elaborate explanation of what is going on and placed it at the following URL: http://www.cs.utwente.nl/~hanssen/rt-linux/2.2.1.RTL0D.html Please tell me if more information is needed, and I will try to provide it. Other comments also appreciated. -- Ferdy T.Y.
