Hey guys,
I don't want to bore you to death with this topic, but nevertheless
here come my two bits:
Good old Larousse (a dictionary) says:
efficace: effective, efficient, effacious (what ever that is)

My translation follows:

..., and I would like to know how to test efficiently this real time kernel.

Dear Tony,
have a look at the homepage http://www.zentropix.com. It has very nice
statistics _AND_ sample code about tests on responsiveness of Linux versus
RT-Linux.
Have a look at the item 'Testing' (http://www.zentropix.com/realtime/testing.html)
especially.

But: don't take the IRQ response serious ;-). They get a std. Linux response time up
to
9.3 ms!! because they measure the complete path from the hw interrupt through the
kernel
driver into the application and back again down the whole chain to the hardware. But
let's be
serious, no one would ever call that the measurment of 'IRQ response', would you?

Chèr Tony!

Il-y-a des resultats interessants sur http://www.zentropix.com/realtime/testing.html.
Ils ont comparé Linux et RT-Linux. Lá tu peut bien évaluer les possibilités de
RT-Linux,
et tu vas trouver des exemples logiciels. (ne prends pas l'exemple Interrupt Response
Time
with Non Real-Time Linux, c'est stupide).

P.S.: La prochaine fois essaye de poser tes questions en englais, nous tous pourraient
repondre
plus facilement.
