If RT-Linux is ever to be included in the standard Kernel that is the way
to go.  I think the best way to do it is to treat RT-Linux as an
"architecure".  So there would be "i386", "i386-RT" "Alpha", SPARC and so
on.  Maybe even someday an "Alpha-RT".  Now to do a build you define
i386-RT if you want the RT stuff.  This is by far (IMO) the cleanest way
to do it.  The goal should be to work for the day when RT-Linux is no
longer a "patch" but just another suported "architecure".
