About 50 people have expressed an interest in this project so far. We may
have now reached the point where emailing tar.gz files and updates is
impractical.

I have never run an open source project before, but I'm willing to take it
on (and learn as I go). What I think is needed to start with is:

        - an ftp site where the source versions can be stored and downloaded from
        - a specialized mailing list for interested people to interact

Any suggestions welcome.
