Hi, If you have the need to do SMP real time immediately, give yourself the chance of looking at "www.aero.polimi.it/projects/rtai". Look at SMP specific features, e.g cpus and interrupts binding. It has been thoroughly tested on standard INTEL SMP config, i.e. dual PII 350 Mhz with ASUS-scasi and (very cheap) SOLTEK-eide motherboards (kernel 2.2.6).
