Hi Steve:

Could you explain why or what are the advantages to set HZ at 1000. I did
some tests a while back with HZ=1000 and rtl_fifo. The gain in throuput 
between RTLinux and user space seemed to be marginal. Setting the user
space scheduler parameter to SCHED_FIFO seemed very important.
