I agree 100% even if I'd rather prefer a fully modularized
implementation.
Guess how? A Real Time Hardware Abstraction Layer + a Real Time
Application Interface (RTHAL+RTAI).
So if I have to die on RTL being native within Linux I'll take the
chance because what I'm aiming for are applications not OSes.
But it will be a marriage of interest not of love.
