[rtl] what RT-linux to use

Hello all,

At the moment there seem to be a number of RT-linux
versions. But what is the best version to use
on a Single CPU 2.2.x system? What about API changes ?

And what is true about the rumours that RT will be implemented
in the mainstream kernel ?
