Hi,
I am trying to install beta4.
The patching seems to work but I don't get any rtl modules.
Add to that, I think, that rtlpath.make is not included so I can't try the
examples either.
I did the following:
cd /usr/src
tar -zxf beta4.tgz
cd beta
tar -xzf linux-2.2.9.tar.gz
cd linux
patch -p1 < ../kernel_patch
make mrproper (it doesn't work)
ln -s /usr/src/beta4/linux /usr/src/linux
(now it works)
make xconfig
make dep
make zImage
make modules
make modules_install
make install
reboot
It boots but I don't have any rtl modules, can't run the provided examples
and I couldn't see any rtl flags when I compiled the new kernel.
(I tried to move linux-2.2.9 outside beta, re-linked linux to the new
place and redo every thing as above but the result is the same)
Can some one tell me how to install the stuff?
