Sorry, when I write "RT compatible", I mean that it isn't usable from an
RT task. As far as I know, it should compile fine and run with an RTLinux
kernel.
Almost all drivers should compile and run with an RTLinux kernel. RTLinux
is pretty transparent and doesn't touch much. However, you _MUST_ compile
drivers with the RTLinux-modified Linux headers. For this reason, seeing
installers, e.g. VMWare, that try the "if the shoe fits" approach to
installing modules is sickening.
Oh... and I forgot. NI has their own GPIB driver (with source). See
<http://www.natinst.com/linux> and <http://www.natinst.com/linux/ni488dl.html>.
I don't know how it compares with clausi's, but I think it was rather rude
of them to write a new, incompatible driver rather than improve on the
existing one.
