have a look at
http://ryeham.ee.ryerson.ca/uClinux/

There is the homepage of uClinux (Linux for M68K-Systems without
MMU). Currently, there is support for MC68332, MC68328, MC68360,
MC68000, MCF5206 and MCF5207 (did i have forgotten one?).

The current kernel is 2.0.33, but a port to 2.0.36 will apear soon.
It is rather unlikely, that there will be a 2.2.x in the near future,
as a 2.0.36 (maybe .37 in near future) will do it just fine for
most embedded systems.

Only one point is missing: real time capabilities. The main authors
of uClinux (Kenneth Albanowski and D. Jeff Dionne) already had contact
with Victor Yodaiken concerning that Topic (AFAIR at Linux-Expo?).

But actually, i don't know what's going on now :-)
