It seems that you forgot to recompile your patched RTAI kernel ...

the following steps must be done :

 * modify or copy file to a 'clean kernel' repertory
 * make [x|menu]config of your kernel
 * make dep clean bzImage modules modules_install of your new kernel
 * take modification in lilo then reboot with the new kernel patched
RTAI !!!
 * compile the rtai , rtl_fifo , rtl_[mp]sched then insmod them ...

And it should be ready ...
Good Luck.
