I can help you.
I sent a reply on how to do this to someone else. The reply is on my
home system.
Very simply reproduce the code at the end of rtf_write on the end of
rtf_put.
so that any rtf handler registered against the fifo gets woken up from
the rtf_put.
I'll look for the posting at home tonight and send you a copy.
Perhaps this would be a good feature to add to the fifo's
