Hi,
Not strictly a RT-Linux question but has anyone out there designed their own
interface card to a PCI bus that is being controlled by an RT-Linux task?
We will have 4 avalanch photodiodes (APDs) spitting out TTL as each photon
is detected. These will make their way into a custom card that will
accrue the counts and provide a fifth channel with the sum of the 4 APDs.
We plan on using a PCI-based counter/timer card to read this custom card
(in some way but don't ask me how just yet) with the channels being read
from a RT-Linux task.
If anyone has any experience with this (software and hardware), please get
in touch. I will be away all next week but I will get back in touch with
you.
Thanks in advance,
