Gigasampler uses some patented technology. Anyone knows details and the
patent number (and year)? 

Gigasampler was introduced 1996/7 but the patent could be from earlier.
I wonder how special case this patent introduces or is it just a general
disk buffering blurb? Does our plans violate the patent?

Basically the idea of a virtual memory with data prefetching must be
from days of virtual memory development in OS'es. But I wonder what
exactly is patented.
