| It shouldn't be too difficult for me to port your driver to comedi, since
| it is clean code and fairly simple. This will at least be a decent base
| to develop more features.

That sounds great, actually.

| If you have any questions about writing comedi drivers, just ask. It's
| easier to answer email about this than write decent and complete
| documentation.

Ok, there is one thing I have been wondering about, here we go: I need
an operating mode that is suited for seismic aquisition, that is, all
channels start to record N samples when an external signal changes
state on one of the input pins (DIN1 in this case).

Will Comedi support this type of operation without problems?
If so, I'll be happy to work on support for the DAS6402, and the
DAS1600/1402 too, if it's needed.

I have looked at the code for the DAS1600 card, a card I know quite
well (actually the DAS1402 from Computerboards), and I have got a more
or less vague feeling that the driver for this card is at present only
designed for software trigged aquisition. Please correct me if I am
wrong.

| I really could update the "How to _start_ writing a
| comedi driver" document, which should be included with the comedi source.

Are you refering to the Hardware_Driver.HOWTO now, or is there another
document somewhere that I might have overlooked?
