RT-Linux is a set of patches that apply only to the kernel they was
designed for. So the patch for 2.2.10 is applicable only to 2.2.10
kernel and the patched rt-kernel is unstable.

If you like to use the 2.2.5 kernel you have to take a patch for this
kernel (if it is available in the rt-linux site), but the rt-kernel that
you get will be worse than the rt-kernel 2.2.10.
