Hello,

It has been a few weeks since my last post...

I have finished conversion and checkout of a simulator software model that
is certified under the FAA Phase II specification (roughly equiv. to current
FAA level C specs). This device is on a 6 DOF motion base with wrap-around 4
window visual system. The basic Flight, Engines, Nav, Autopilot, and Systems
code are operational. Worst case cycle iteration is 4500usec and best case
is 2500usec. A 30hz iteration rate specifies 33.3msec per cycle. Thus the
simulator is using only 10% of the boxes capability (it is running on an old
P166 with 16megs of memory). Worst case jitter under heavy disk activity is
30usec, with the average in the 10usec range.

I am also experimenting with a dual P500 box. I have 2.2.12 patched with
Beta16 operational, and am rewriting the sim executive towards POSIX
compliance. I hope to have the same sim operational on this box soon. Does
anyone know of reliable patche(s) to implement processor affinity on RTL?

Thanks!
