RTL Group:

I'm building a single board computer using a Motorola
PowerPC processor (MPC860) and am interesting in trying
Real-time Linux as an alternative kernel OS.

What environment do you think is well suited for
writing/debugging the code for this? That is, should I
think about setting up Red Hat on an Intel box and run a
cross compiler on that for generating PowerPC code or
should I stay with MS Windows and find tools that work
under this platform.

>From your experience, if you were attempting a project like
this what tools might you choose? For my first go around
I would like to go with the least expensive, adequate
solution available.

Sincerely,

Tom Stanik, [EMAIL PROTECTED]
