One week ago, I asked how to intsall rtl beta11 on RedHat 6.0.
According to the reply mail, I download kernel 2.2.10 and reinstall the beta11 on the
kernel 2.2.10.
At first everything seemed OK. But when I finished
make bzImage
make modules
make modules_install
I cant't reboot the from the new rt kernel. My computer (Compaq deskpro 133, RAM 24M,
HD 1.0GB) halted when the new kernel wanted to mount the root directory, and the
screen displayed "general protection fault" (so like a Ms-Window) and many register
content, and 'want to kill a idle process".
I think the problem may be in the configuration of the kernel.
How to solve it.
