It's possible to solve, but it's rather pointless, as anyone who can edit,
compile and load a kernel module can do pretty much what he/she wants anyway. It
probably complicates things more for nice users than for a potential cracker.
Besides, buggy RT modules are likely to freeze or crash the system, so it's
probably not a good idea to have a disk with important data mounted when people
are to do RT programming on it.

Boot from floppy, or set up systems with read-only system partitions, and make
sure the network security isn't depending on the workstations being nice... The
practical details of networking and security isn't really my cup of tea, so
I'll leave that to someone with more UN*X sysadmin experience.
