This might not be the right list for this, but I am looking into using rtlinux
on a machine that has no floppy drives, but does have the standard floppy
controllers.

Does anyone know if the floppy drive interface could be used for other I/O (non
drive related) to control other (non block) devices.

I know I would have to right my own drivers, but wondered if any one knows
anything about using the floppy controller in this way. I plan to use the
parallel port but would like it if I could use the floppy i/o interface as well
for more i/o without having to add more hardware.

Thanks.
