This is to follow up on issues with gcc and my Mandrake dist. problems.
Running into problems on something new always causes me to believe that I
have done something terribly stupid. Sometimes I am correct which helps
me feel not so stupid :-).

I am now using Mandrake 6.0 and gcc 2.95.1 with the pre2.0 release.
Everything works except the sound example (on an Advantech SBC P166) but
I am not worried about that for now. Micheal Barabanov mentioned that
many "bugs" seemed to disappear after switching to gcc 2.2.7.3 from newer
ones. This was due to the way Linux was written in addition to anything
in RTL. However I would like to continue on the newer path and believe
that the Linux community and GNU and egcs will quickly fix any of these
problems. I will report any problems that I have when compiling with
2.95.1 vs 2.2.7.3.

At the present time it seems like Mandrake (AKA RedHat +) v 6.0 with the
pre2.0 release and gcc 2.95.1 compiles the kernel, rt modules and
examples properly. Latencies on the test were from 8.12 us to 40 us.
