Yes, MPC860.
The back plane is made so that one of our controller cards can't
plub into one of the slots for the line cards. The line cards are
68302's programmed in a different part of the country.  They are 
done with PSOS and we don't have the AMC emulators for that here.

I have done quite a bit with vxWorks.  I have written HDLC and async
drivers for the SCCs' as well as the SMCs'.  I have ported several
apps from PSOS to vxWorks. I have written my own little real time
kernel.

No I did not try LinuX for MPC860.  Along with being able to satify
our need for our simulator the route I have chosen allows me to have
a new high end linux box and gives me a chance to learn about RTL.

My big question will be how to access the HDLC driver that I have
for my ports.  The driver is for Linux and they are PCI cards.  One
thing that I have never written code for is PCI.
