Trying to get around my well-known problem :), I installed Mandrake
6.1 (kernel 2.2.13-7) and am now trying to install RTAI 0.9a. I used
copyto from the linux-2.2.13 directory. First, make failed on
i386_ksyms.c, specifically symbols strnlen_user and i386_bh_lock; it
passed after commenting out these symbol exports. Then I got another
error because i386_endbase could not be found (declared extern in
smp.c -- the README.RTHAL says one should turn SMP on in "make
config"). What should I do with these problematic symbols?
