Hi Peter,
I talked to management again to see what the status was of Linux support.
Apparently, everyone is in a standby mode waiting for each other to provide
support. Xilinx is waiting for the big 3 EDA vendor's to make the move to Linux.
Specifically, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics, or Cadence. This isn't marketing's official
stance on the Linux issue, but it looks like the the agenda as of yet.
Marketing is aware that
there are customers who have requested Linux support, but currently the cost of
development and support outweigh the demand.
