Hi all,
I know that the 2.* version has SMP support, but when I build and
work on the kernel, the system gets stuck with the inter process
interrupt error message "Stuck on TLB IPI wait (CPU#0)". Also an error
message like "Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at
virtual address 00000000" appears in the boot-up message.
My system has two Pentium Pro processors and I am working with
RTL2.0 on 2.2.13 kernel.

So I would like to know if there are any people out there who have
succesfully compiled and worked with RTL2.* on a multi-processor
machine. If so is there any thing I should take care of when building
the kernel?

In the recent Dr.Dobb's Journal it is mentioned that the RTL is not
suitable for SMP. Is it true? if so what are the limitations of the
RTLinux?

Hope to hear your comments on this,

Surya.
