And Windows NT is the officially sanctioned critical systems OS 
in certain US government agencies!
So is the policy of starting forest fires in high wind.

BTW: those of you with an interest in this topic and similar standards
issues are welcome to come to the OpenGroup RT and embedded systems
standards meeting in August in Austin. I will be giving a talk on POSIX
and RTLinux and will try, as always, to avoid controversy where
possible.
