Hi,

I would like to know if there is a way to hang rtlinux realtime with a
particular floppy or hard disk configuration

I ask this question because my experience with commercial OSes
demonstrated that it was not realtime with
floppy access or graphic display.

This was the consequence of bad disk driver that took all the cpu time
meanwhile transfers . I would like to know if it could happen
with rtlinux and how to configure the floppy (or hard disk) options to
show this .
What will happen if hard disk is in burst mode ?

The following question is :
Is this possible to guarantee realtime with IDE disks and rtlinux ? or
is it best preferred to use
only scsi disks ?
