I have downloaded the Rtlinux V3 and the corresponding kernel tree, patched it and now I am looking for the Real time support option when configuring the kernel. If I can't set it in the kernelconfiguration do I have to pass it as an argument when compiling the new Kernel ? Second question: When I applied the patch to the kernel tree, which I downloaded as well from FSMlabs, I realised that the kernel version in the patch file and the actual version of the kernel source tree were not corresponding. I just changed the version number (2.3.48 to 2.3.49) in the patchfile and then applied the patch. Does that mean that I can proceed the same way and apply the patch to a more recent kernel ?
