My advice to you, and anyone else who would like to have proper
semaphore support, would be to use the latest release of RTLinux 3.0.
Unlike many systems where you are clearly better off waiting for others to
test the "new" stuff, with RTLinux the latest is the best.
V3.0 has been out in beta form long enough now that the vast
majority of problems have been found. The folks at FSM Labs are also doing
a great job of finding problems and fixing them *very* quickly.
V3.0 also includes semaphore support, among other things. It is
also available for Linux 2.2.x and 2.4.x so you can choose which level of
basic Linux "stability" you desire.
Regards,
Steve
