I'm running RTLinux3.0 with kernel 2.4.2 on my x86 linux box. So far no
problem. I also did with 2.4.1 before. No experience with 2.4.0.

When you apply patch to the kernel, you must use "kernel-patch-2.4.1-x86".
"Kernel-patch-2.4" is for 2.4.0-Pre1 kernel.

When you apply it to 2.4.2, you will see "Makefile" rejected. Just apply
the changes by hand.
