(Why does it need a specific driver in the first place? Not based on a standard UART + RS-485 line interface...? Oh, well...) > And the card is OK with the RTLinux3.1-RS485 kernel which I can not run > RTLinux program While the RTLinux is OK with RTLinux3.1 kernel. > But Now I want to install the RTLinux3.1 again. RTL modules won't load? (Does insmod by any chance complain about modules being incompatible with the kernel verison?) In that case, I'd check that it's really the right kernel booting. Did you put the right image in place? Did you configure and "install" the boot loader (usually LILO) properly? (You must run LILO after changing anything. Replacing the kernel image file with a new one won't work, as LILO relies on raw sector numbers, rather than the file system.) //David Olofson --- Programmer, Reologica Instruments AB .- M A I A -------------------------------------------------. | Multimedia Application Integration Architecture | | A Free/Open Source Plugin API for Professional Multimedia | `----------------------------> http://www.linuxdj.com/maia -' .- David Olofson -------------------------------------------. | Audio Hacker - Open Source Advocate - Singer - Songwriter | `-------------------------------------> http://olofson.net -' -- [rtl] --- To unsubscribe: echo "unsubscribe rtl" | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] OR echo "unsubscribe rtl <Your_email>" | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- For more information on Real-Time Linux see: http://www.rtlinux.org/
