Just a word of thanks to the guys at RTLinux - I bought the CD distro with rtlinux-3.1 and got it up in record time due to the good quality docs included. The examples were running with very little effort and provided me with easy to modify starting points, and I have used code from more than one of your examples to A) characterise my hardware interrupt latency and jitter, and B) write a driver for a device which has no FIFO or buffering.
