hi need your advice wether this could be worth trying.
project: develop an midi/audio sequncer in rtl. all timing critical stuff is running in real time space (midi note sending, playing audio...), graphical stuff is running in normal linux (we plan to use qtembedded) and for example tells the rtl-midi-module when it got to play which note... goal: have a box that boots in a very short time and is nothing more than a music production system (no X, no network, no crap...), but a real good and stable music production system. (got enough of cubase and logic (industry standard sequencer progz)). I know that the midi part could be possible, but the audio stuff...hm. you might tell me. Perhaps it could be a better idea to do the whole thing in normal user space as c or c++ programms...or just the midi and audio drivers in rtl. I don't know yet... regards ben -- [rtl] --- To unsubscribe: echo "unsubscribe rtl" | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] OR echo "unsubscribe rtl <Your_email>" | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- For more information on Real-Time Linux see: http://www.rtlinux.org/
