rtnet.o and rtifconfig were created at the same time by rtnet 0.6.0, so I
suppose they belong to the same version. I reinstalled rtnet but I still
have the same problem. If I try to run "rtnet" from the dir "tools" my
system hangs and I have to reboot, and the same thing happens if I try to
run the examples. I'm surely doing something wrong, but I don't understand
where..

Did you verify that RTAI is working correctly (e.g. by running a few RTAI examples)? I suspect that there are some deeper problems.

When I load my module (3c59x-rt) it is loaded with warnings or (rarely) I
have a segmentation fault error.
I had warnings also when I installed rtnet: 3c59x-rt.c:3:2: warning: #warning This driver is probably not real-time
safe! Under certain conditions
3c59x-rt.c:4:2: warning: #warning it can cause interrupt locks of up to 1
second (issue_and_wait). We
3c59x-rt.c:5:2: warning: #warning need a rewrite of critical parts, but we
are lacking the knowledge
3c59x-rt.c:6:2: warning: #warning about the hardware details (e.g. how long
does a normal delay take =>
3c59x-rt.c:7:2: warning: #warning apply this value and throw an error
message on timeouts).
3c59x-rt.c:8:2: warning: #warning
*******************************************
Could it be here the problem?

The 3c59x-rt is not officially supported due to some *potential* real-time problems. They would break the timing guarantees, but they should not crash your system! At least I'm not aware of any 3c59x-rt-related issues at the moment. So please check the lower level first.
