This might be interesting for those who plan to visit the Hannover
Industry Fair in Germany from 19th to 24th of May and who would like to
see RTAI and RTnet at work:

3D High Speed Laser Scanning / Autonomous Robots

In hall 18, 1st floor, booth O03, our institute will present a demonstrator for fast 3-dimensional laser scanning in real-time which runs on two embedded PCs with RTAI linked over RTnet. We will furthermore show one of our autonomous robots with a 3D scanner and other sensors, also controlled by a RTAI system.

RTnet Demonstrator

In hall 7, booth A34 (common LIVE/k.e.n.n. booth), RTnet will drive a
demonstrator which sorts differently coloured balls into a spinning
wheel (a college named it "wheel of fortune" when it didn't work that
well as now :)). Three small-sized embedded PCs and an IPC will form the
real-time network. The presentation is powered by the several regional
companies which organised in the "kompetenzkreis embedded networking
niedersachsen" (k.e.n.n.) and are pushing forward the development and
industrial applications of RTnet.
