Hi,
I have relog the communication.
Mmmh, there are still only messages contained which are broadcasted.
I send you too the kernel log so you can see what's happen.
These logs are a bit more interesting.
x86-server-log.txt: Both the ppc and x86 seems to be configured as RTcfg server ("RTcfg: unknown event RTCFG_FRM_STAGE_1_CFG for rtdev 1 in rtcfg_main_state_server_running()"). This cannot work.
x86-client-log.txt: The x86 receives the invitation of the ppc RTcfg server and replies to it ("RTcfg: next main state=RTCFG_MAIN_CLIENT_ANNOUNCED"). But the ppc does not seem to get this reply, or it fails to answer it.
ppc-server-log.txt: No packet from the x86 client seems to arrive. This is likely the core of the problem. Could you try to dig deeper here (use rtcap on the ppc, add debug prints etc.)?
ppc-client-log.txt: You probably did not stop all parts of the server before trying to switch to client mode. At least, RTcfg still reports to be in server mode ("RTcfg: rtcfg_do_main_event() rtdev=1, event=RTCFG_FRM_STAGE_1_CFG, state=RTCFG_MAIN_SERVER_RUNNING")
X86 mac address = 00:c0:9f:1d:39:0e
PPC mac address = 00:80:82:28:04:05
the tcpdump are captured on th X86 target
How? Using RTcap and the rteth0 capturing device? I'm also wondering why the packets are now a "cooked capture" (no Ethernet frame header contained)?
Jan
