This depends on your device's IP and the selected netmask.
Example: rteth0 - 192.168.0.19 netmask 255.255.255.0 => broadcast=192.168.0.255
Take a look at the output of rtifconfig (or rtroute when already using the CVS version), there is one entry per Ethernet device with FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF as destination device address - that's the broadcast entry!
