Hi,
I have a question about restarting the network.
I start it normally using rtnet start on all computers and it works perfectly.
But what happened if one computer is rebooted?
Is there a way to restore the network (also TCP/IP comm.) without removing rtnet
modules
and running rtnet start on every computer?

Unfortunately, not yet. This is one goal of the planned TDMA revision: allow dynamic (re-)inclusion of real-time stations into a running network. The foundations on the RTcfg side are already laid, we now need a "hot-plugging" capable TDMA.

Currently, you have to restart at least the TDMA disciplines on all nodes (rtifconfig rtethX mac ...). If you want to do this without unloading all modules, you will have to write your own script(s). /tools/rtnet does not handle this case, but it may serve as a starting point. I haven't thought about it in details, but maybe you only need to move the module loading out of the script. This will allow you to let the applications loaded. The only drawback is that, during the re-initialisation phase (several seconds), the real-time communication will not work.
